We’ve been fighting systemic racism for decades and while on the one hand much has improved since the mid-20th century, it also feels like not much has changed since Michael Brown was murdered in Ferguson six years ago. Social media posts and protests are good, but what can we do to sustain our current volition into systemic change? Here are some resources I have found useful when trying to answer that question.
- Black Live Matter
- Barack Obama - How to Make this Moment the Turning Point for Real Change
- The Brown Bookshelf
- ArchCity Defenders
- The Bail Project
- US Black Chambers, Inc.
- National Black Chamber of Commerce
- Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce
- National Urban League
- Urban League of Metropolitan Saint Louis
- Kroger Allyship Guide (pdf)
- Equal Justice Initiative
- Black Girls Code
- Code 2040
- Rock the Vote
- For the Culture STL
I’ll update this list as I find more.
